USADR - An IBOC Digital Transmission System

KIIS Radio was deeply involved with the In-Band On Channel Digital transmission system developed by USADR. Initially there were three partners; Gannett, C.B.S. and Group W. Over the years of development, all three of the partners participated in annual demonstrations at the Las Vegas NAB.

Trucker Bob, who drove the demo bus. After the first year, Bob became a USADR employee. He drove truckloads of transmitters before the NAB, drove the bus during it, and helped set up the equipment.
